Hello and welcome to my health and wellness blog! I’m Tehani, founder and lead author of Kahumana Nurse. First and foremost, I’m mama to two incredible kiddos and two sweet forever puppies, as well as Mimi to three rad grandkids. I hold a Master of Science in Nursing and have been a registered nurse for 15 years. I’m also working toward my Doctor of Nurse Practice-family nurse practitioner degree.
Prior to embarking on my nursing career, I was a feature and communications writer for nearly two decades, having written, edited, and produced a variety of content ranging from health to technology. These include digital and print content such as:
- Feature articles
- Social media and blog posts
- Corporate and marketing communications
- Webinars and other training content
- Nursing and allied healthcare skill development content
My nursing and editorial pathways have continued to converge, and I have been privileged to write, edit, and produce content over the years, particularly for health publications and organizations such as:
Kahu means guardian, nurse, or healer. Mana describes your life force, spirit, power, and strength. My goal in creating Kahumana Nurse is to help safeguard your health and empower you to make meaningful and well-informed choices to support it. One way I hope to help you achieve your health goals is to provide you with clear information based on strong, accurate, and current scientific evidence.
Please feel free to comment, ask questions, and share my posts.
Cheers to your good health!
